Perth Pride Choir welcomes members of the LGBTIQA+ community, from all colours of the sexuality and gender diversity rainbow and our allies, with a common love of music and singing.  We aim to provide an inclusive and safe space to build community, while having fun creating music together. Our motto is Harmony in Diversity.

We have maintained a stable and visible presence in the Perth community since 1993, singing at a range of events in the LGBTQIA+ and wider communities.  We are a non-audition choir singing in four-part harmony and open to all levels of musical ability and experience, while aiming for a high standard of performance. We perform a range of musical genres and use our voices to celebrate our diversity and promote acceptance for LGBTQIA+ people.

Perth Pride Choir is an incorporated body hence operates under a Constitution. Our members agree to abide by these aims:

• To positively represent the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex, Queer + (LGBTQIA+) community in Western Australia within the LGBTQIA+, and wider, community.
• To encourage and develop choral music skills of members to the highest possible standard regardless of previous musical skills or experience through rehearsals and performances.
• To provide a welcoming, safe, supportive and inclusive environment for all members of the LGBTQIA+ community, and allies of this community.
• To build a strong and vibrant choir community through musical and social activities and interactions.
• To encourage Members of the Choir to have a participatory involvement with the Choir’s activities.

Perth Pride Choir acknowledges the traditional custodians of the lands on which we sing and come together. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and future.  We recognise that sovereignty was never ceded and that this was, and always will be, Noongar land.
