SINGING FOR OUR TRUE HEARTS
For over 25 years GALSWA has been a place of welcome, safety, acceptance and joy for the LGBTQIA+ community. Our stories have been captured in the oral history project Singing For Our True Hearts, and this short film shares those stories with the world.
In addition the project collated a series of portrait photographs accompanied by personal stories.
The film was privately premiered on 23 July 2019 to the Choir and its allies, and received its first public showing as part of the Revelation Perth International Film Festival on 6 July 2019.
